JazzPush V2.0
Welcome to JazzPush 2.0! We (me) have been working day & night to bring some new features and updates. We dropped the stuff you guys weren’t using, improved the stuff you guys already like and added some of the things you’ve been asking for.
Here is a breakdown:
- Friendships The ability to “follow” another user has been removed. The community just isn’t big enough to require content filtered by connection - and I hope to keep it this way.
- Activity Feed Since there are no more friendships, you can no longer follow your friends activities. Instead, each users activity is now documented on their profile page (think Facebook wall).
- Merit Count The merit badge has been dropped in favor of a Pro Badge. To learn more about the Pro Badge check out the FAQ.
Discussion Section AKA Forums
Ask you and shall receive. Discussion is launching with two categories: General and Buy & Sell. All topics are single threaded and can be created by any user.
News Banner
Now that we’re out of free beer, we thought we should find a way to update the banner on the front page. The banner will now be used to communicate news and blog entries to all of you fine people.
Likes For All!
In addition to “liking” photos, you can now like photo and discussion comments. Users are encouraged to “like” comments that are useful and valuable within the context of the discussion. And remember, the number of “likes” a user receives contributes to their turning pro.
Social Integration
You can now tweet, email or share photos and topics.
Textile Markup and @Replies
All comments now support textile markup language. This means comments can be styled to include bold, italic, colours as well as embedded images and video.
